It Wasn’t A Waste
The key to unity is not in our agreement, but in our ability to honor. Honor is an unfamiliar word to most of us. What exactly does it mean. Perhaps a better way to understand it is to see it in action. This message looks at the women who poured out her perfume as a beautiful act of honor for Jesus. To the disciples it was a waste, but to Jesus it was beautiful.
Speaking My Language
There are two elements needed to create a group or tribe The ability to communicate (language), and something to communicate about (shared interests or beliefs). It is a powerful thing when a group of people learn to speak one language, and unite around one goal. In fact, God said that nothing would be impossible for those who speak one language, and are unified. This is God’s desire for His Church, that his people would make every effort to attain and protect unity.
The things that closely surround our lives have control over us. They will determine our future. When you are surrounded, all you can do is surrender. What surrounds your life? What are you surrendered to? Do your surroundings protect you and help push you into the future God has for you? Or, do they keep you from it?
