Phase 1: Plans To Re-Open

  • We are hosting church services while providing for the health and safety of our church family and honoring the requests of the medical community and government officials.

Social distancing

  • We are following social distancing guidelines, seating families 6 feet apart, with rows of seats of varying sizes spaced throughout the sanctuary.

  • We are closing the front door and entryway. The main entrance into the sanctuary will be the garage doors.

  • We are limiting church capacity to maintain social distancing guidelines, possibly turning people away once capacity is reached.

  • We are having ushers greet people at the door and bring people to their seats to limit large gatherings in common areas. Ushers will also dismiss people from back to front at the end of service. People who want to have fellowship after service should go outside while continuing to follow social distancing guidelines.

  • We are not having children’s church. Parents should keep their children with them at all times to keep children from playing together. The baby room will be open for nursing moms and diaper changes only.

  • We are closing the self-service coffee, tea and water bar to limit gatherings in that space and to follow health recommendations. No beverage service will be provided.

  • We are not passing offering baskets during church service. A bin for tithes will be in the back of the sanctuary. Tithing via the website, text message and the mail will continue to be available.

Health and safety

  • We are encouraging people over 65, anyone with underlying health conditions and those who are uncomfortable in large gatherings to stay home.

  • We are asking people who feel sick to stay home.

  • We are encouraging people to wear facemasks if it makes them comfortable.

  • We are cleaning the church thoroughly before and after services and after each use of the building during the week.

  • We are disinfecting high-traffic and common areas, as well as frequently touched locations – door handles, counters, sound and computer equipment, bathroom faucets, etc.

  • We are providing hand sanitizer in the building.

Special accommodations

  • We are continuing to provide online services for people who can’t attend, don’t feel comfortable attending or who might be turned away because of capacity.

  • We are, weather dependent, keeping the garage doors open with speakers facing the parking lot for people more comfortable being outside during service or for those turned away because of capacity.

  • We are allowing an early entry time for people who feel more comfortable with increased social distancing. People also should leave service early if they desire more social distancing.

Ministries and connect groups

  • Ministries and connect groups are allowed to meet under normal circumstances if 10 people or less are present.

  • If more than 10 people are present, ministries and connect groups should follow social distancing guidelines.

  • If social distancing guidelines cannot be met due to space constraints, ministries and connect groups should avoid meeting in person.
